About Me

Hi, I’m Eric.
I like to build—or restore—just about everything.
A child of the ’80s who never really left the ’80s—or childhood.
Firmly planted in the micro-generation known as Xennials.
Professional Me
I’m a Full Stack Developer, AI Solutions Architect, and E-Commerce Specialist with 15+ years of experience designing and optimizing high-performance web systems. I don’t limit myself to a single style, framework, or paradigm—I focus on finding the best solution for the challenge at hand.
In the fast-moving world of development, design, and marketing, adaptability is key. Every project brings new technologies, unique challenges, and fresh opportunities to innovate. I’ve honed the ability to learn on the fly, ensuring I can craft custom solutions while staying ahead of industry shifts.
Key Expertise:
Beyond mastering coding languages and design principles, my experience has taught me the importance of bridging the gap between development and business strategy. Great solutions aren’t just about clean code or sleek designs—they require an understanding of business needs, user experience, and long-term scalability.
I also believe that technical expertise should be accessible. The best practices and tools only matter if they make sense to the people using them. As someone once said, “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” I take pride in breaking down complex concepts so teams and clients can make informed decisions about their web solutions.

A Bit More Personal
Where I’ve been
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by tech. I was the kid with the calculator watch, always dreaming about what else could be worn on my wrist.
In 2002, I met a ColdFusion developer over a game of pool. I spent more time grilling him about his job than focusing on the game itself. That friendship led to my first job in data integrity, where I fell in love with analytics and problem-solving. But I also craved a creative outlet—so I pursued both web development and multimedia design, ensuring I could work on both the function and the form of digital experiences.
That decision paid off. In my final semester, I had a job offer from Internet Broadcasting, and my career took off from there.
Where I am
My wife and I live in central Minnesota. Getting out in nature is my favorite way to “unplug” and this area offers abundant opportunity to do so. We enjoy hiking in a state park, taking the pontoon on one of the beautiful lakes, or snowmobiling through the woods. I find that this time away from the screen allows me to recharge and usually results in some new solutions when I’m back at my workspace.
I’m definitely a foodie – my wife and I enjoy trying new restaurants and dishes. It’s a standing joke that half of the fun of traveling is the food. We both appreciate someone who knows how to cook because it definitely isn’t us! In the last couple of years we have been using meal kit delivery services and that has drastically changed things for us; we have found that it’s great to cook with training wheels.
Where I’m going
The tech landscape is evolving faster than ever—driven by AI, automation, and immersive experiences. While I love learning the next big thing, I now approach it strategically. I evaluate new tools and trends not just for novelty, but for long-term impact. If it’s worth the deep dive, I go all in.
I don’t know exactly what the next decade holds, but I know this: technology will continue to shape how we work, create, and interact. AI-driven development, decentralized applications, and smarter UX solutions are already reshaping the industry. And just like the early days of the web, those who adapt will thrive.
As someone who started out coding with Dreamweaver, slices, and tables, I know firsthand that change is a good thing. Whatever the future brings, I look forward to building, learning, and pushing boundaries.
